What size battery do you need on the Deye 8KW Hybrid Inverter.
Minimum battery size
Although the inverter will work with a battery with a lower capacity it is recommended that you use battery storage that has at least the minimum output rating of the Deye inverter.
For example if you have 2 x 5KW batteries that have a discharge rating of 0.5c this means the maximum discharge from the battery will be 5KW so the battery will shut the system down if your backup load exceeds 5KW for any length of time, for batteries with a 0.5c rating it would then be better to use three or four batteries, three batteries can discharge at 7.5KW and 4 batteries at 10KW.

How many panel you use on the Deye 8KW Hybrid Inverter
There are two mppts on the Deye 8KW Hybrid inverter you can use a single string on one mppt or two strings of panels one on each mppt.
When selecting the PV modules, you should consider the following parameters:
The start-up voltage of the mppt of 150v the combined panel voltage of panels in series per string should be higher than 150V if you have 450w panels with an open circuit voltage of 41V you would need at least 4 panels in series to meet the minimum start-up voltage of the inverter.
The 8KW Deye can take total combined string capacity 10400W as long as the open circuit voltage of the panels in each string is less the maximum PV input voltage of the inverter.
